Luc Jacquet, boostHEAT’s Managing Director and co-founder alongside Jean-Marc Joffroy, was a guest speaker at the E5T Summer University, held in La Rochelle on 26 and 27 August 2015.
Organised by the E5T Foundation (which stands for “Energy, Energy Efficiency, Energy Economy and Territories”), the Summer University offers a suitable environment for stakeholders and users concerned with issues relating to energy transition to exchange.
The speech was held during a session focusing on the following topic: “Major challenges in reducing GHG (greenhouse gases)”.
After having introduced boostHEAT’s innovation approach, Luc Jacquet spoke of the ensuing challenges:
“Dealing with the issue of heating in households means dealing with a problem that represents 30% of all oil equivalent consumption currently available on our planet; therefore reducing this consumption by a few points will no doubt have a significant impact on our energy consumption and CO2 production.“
boostHEAT’s main focus, thermodynamic wastage, was also mentioned. This last point led to a more in-depth presentation of boostHEAT’s innovative technology, as well as its real potential in terms of energy efficiency.
